Come join HEParks at the Hoffman Estates Fire Department on October 12! 

They are kicking off Fire Prevention Month by hosting Fire Station Open Houses this October. Help them raise fire prevention awareness and create a safer community by joining them for station tours, fire sprinkler demonstrations, vendor booths and to practice hands-on skills with a CPR station and fire extinguisher use with a live fire simulator.

Activities for children include sliding down the fire pole, touch-a-truck, and a firefighter obstacle course. Sparky the Fire Dog will be there, and the Air Methods aeromedical helicopter is scheduled land next to Firehouse 23.

Fire Station Open Houses run from 1 to 4 p.m. on the following dates:
