1st-8th Grade Basketball League
The Hoffman Estates Youth Basketball League is a recreational program that focuses on teaching your child the fundamentals of basketball in a fun environment. Volunteer Coaches will emphasize individual fundamentals in practice along with game strategy and sportsmanship. Practice days will be determined by the volunteer coach’s availability.
- Practice begins week of November 11th
- Teams will begin games on December 14th and end on March 8th.
- Games on Saturdays
- Deadline to register is October 31, 2024
1-2nd Grade teams are formed by the night and location you register for. 3rd-4th grade teams will be put together by the park district, according to the area you live in, friendship request and your practice availability. 5th-8th grade teams are put together based on evaluations. Friendship and coaches request are not allowed at the 5th-8th grade level.
Teams will practice once a week for 1 hour. Volunteer coaches will pick the day, time and location of practice. When registering you can request days that you cannot practice and we will do our best to accommodate. Practices begin the week of November 11th.
Teams will play one game a week on Saturday mornings/afternoons. Games will take place at Triphahn center for grade 1-4 and at Willow Recreation Center for grade 5-8. Teams will begin games on December 14 and end on March 8th.
Preschool-Kindergarten Basketball League
Our Friday night PreK- Kindergarten league is a perfect place to introduce your child to the game of basketball. These 1 hour sessions, held at the Triphahn Center Gym, will be divided up into a practice and scrimmage segments. Our 1 hour sessions will be led by volunteer coaches and will focus on the basics of basketball. Each player will receive a t-shirt and the proper equipment will be provided.

Fundamental Camps
Looking to get ready for the season ahead? Maybe you need to get some touches on the ball for your school/feeder/aau team tryouts? These 4 week fundamental camps will help you get there. With a heavy focus on footwork and basic scoring techniques these camps will get your basketball player ready for the next level in their hoops career. Classes run on Wednesday or Thursday nights.
